(KCEN) -- A Granbury man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for the aggravated sexual assault of a 9-year-old autistic male that occurred in Coryell County in January.
On January 7, the Coryell County Sheriff's Office received a report that a 9-year-old autistic male had possibly been sexually assaulted in a vacant building next to the Pearl Community Center on FM 183.
Deputies arrived and spoke to the boy's parents who said the child was lured into the building by 33-year-old Brian Ray Roe and was sexually assaulted.
A short time later, Roe was arrested, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and was booked into the Coryell County Jail.
It was discovered that Roe was a High Risk Sex Offender. He confessed to the allegations of assaulting the child.
Roe pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 45 years in prison by the 52nd District Court in Coryell County yesterday.
