Presidential Candidates Still Bringing in Funds

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- With 11 days until the election, both candidates are bringing in a lot of funds before election day.

President Obama and the Democrats become the first in history to top the one billion mark, but Gov. Romney and the Republican party's ahead in fundraising so far with 111 million dollars, all being spent on the road.

The President is back in the White House this morning after hitting eight states in two days.

And Gov. Romney spent all day in Ohio yesterday.

Today he is in Iowa, talking about the economy.

Romney said, "This campaign is growing, the momentum is building, we're taking back, America and it's coming soon."

Back to the money, the Romney campaign says as of now it has 169 million left to spend. That's 45 million more than President Obama and the Democrats.
