(KCEN) -- Fall is here and we're experiencing some of the lowest temperatures we've had all season.
So we have some tips on how to prevent damage to your home.
The best way to avoid expensive repairs during a hard freeze is to take preventive measures.
Look for any exposed faucets and get an out door faucet protector, which would save you thousands if one of your pipes cracked.
Also, move tropical and citrus plants inside and water them on and off.
And don't forget about your pets.
If you have an outdoors pet, vets suggest keeping them in the garage with a heater and away from the wind.
