(KCEN) -- The U.S. Supreme Court is taking up a case that could have an impact on what you sell on eBay, at the flea market and even what you sell at garage sales.
The legal battle involves a student from Thailand who arrived in the U.S. to go to school.
The student ended up starting a small business out of his apartment, selling other students' textbooks on eBay that were published overseas and sold at a fraction of the price.
A publisher ended up suing him for copyright infringement.
That student is now taking his case all the way to the Supreme Court and he is hoping the court will see it his way.
