(KCEN) -- Some of the nation's top experts in child sex abuse are gathering at Penn State.
Penn State is hosting a child sex abuse conference. The two-day event will feature a keynote address from American boxing icon Sugar Ray Leonard and closing remarks made by Elizabeth Smart, both of whom suffered sexual abuse as children.
The conference comes in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
Sandusky, a former assistant coach to Joe Paterno, was convicted on 45 counts of child sexual abuse and was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison.
