(KCEN) -- Have you started crossing out names on your holiday list yet? If you don't even have a list yet, then you are already running behind, according to a recent study.
More than half of Americans have already made their holiday shopping plans, according to a study from "Accenture".
The report also points out that holiday shoppers will spend an average of $582 this year.
There will also be an increase in the number of people who say they'll likely "showroom", at 56 percent.
That's the growing practice of checking out an item in a store, then buying it online for the best deal.
A number of brick and mortar stores are trying to keep consumers from "showrooming" by matching online prices in the store.
