
UDPATE (KCEN) -- The court has recessed for the day in the Rickey Cummings double murder trial.
Both the defense and the state rested after the state called two additional witnesses to testify this afternoon.
The court will reconvene tomorrow at 8 a.m. for closing arguments.

UPDATE 11-1-2012 (KCEN) -- The prosecution spent the morning cross-examining Rickey Cummings about the murders of Sneed and Hubert.
Cell phone records and text messages were brought up to try to incriminate Cummings. The prosecution also talked about Cummings' tattoos, saying they show that he could be affiliated with a blood gang. Cummings denied any gang affiliation.
The prosecution is bringing in another witness this afternoon. The court is on a break and will reconvene at 2 p.m.

UPDATE:
Rickey Cummings took the stand in his double murder trail Wednesday afternoon.
Cummings told the courtroom, he did not shoot anyone the day of the murders.
Cummings also talked about his close friendship with Emuel Bowers, also known as Man Man.
Man Man was murdered in 2010.
The Prosecution said, the murders of Sneed and Hubert may have been in retaliation.
Cummings testified, the day he found Man Man shot to death in his car, it felt like he lost a brother.
Cummings also told the jury, he was not at the Lakewood Villa Apartments at the time of the shooting.
He testified, he went to the complex after he received a phone call about the attack because the car that was shot matched the description of his brothers.
Cummings will be back on the stand Thursday morning at 8:30am.

Coverage continues on the Ricky Cummings double murder trial.
Tuesday was the defense team's turn.
One of the big topic's of discussion were cell phone records from around the time when the shooting happened.
A Waco detective said a lot of text messages from Ricky Cummings phone were erased.
Cummings' girl friend, Jasmine Davison was questioned about the night of the shooting.
"From what I remember, I just heard him yell at someone and then the phone hung up," said Davison.
After the call, she couldn't reach Cummings until the next day.
Davison was also questioned about a .40-caliber Ruger pistol that was found in Cummings' car when he was arrested.
The gun was registered to Davison who maintains she didn't buy the gun for Cummings.
She said she was planning on getting her concealed handgun license, and to go target shooting with Cummings that day.
If Cummings is convicted he faces the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
