(KCEN) -- There are new charges in the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.
Today ex Penn State president Graham Spanier was charged with several counts including perjury, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of children.
Those charges have to do with his possible role in a cover up of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
Also facing the same charges are former university vice president Gary Schultz and former athletic director Tom Curley.
Spanier was forced to resign from Penn State last year.
Last month, Sandusky was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison for his conviction in the case.
He was found guilty of sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.
