The 7.9 inch iPad mini went on sale at 8 a.m. in all time zones.

While reviews have been mostly positive, there has been some criticism over the price tag, which starts at $329.

The cost for the flagship 9.7 inch iPad is $499.

Analysts say the company will sell between one million and 1.5 million iPad minis this weekend.
