(KCEN) - Four weeks from today the most die-hard shoppers get the day of their dreams in the form of Black Friday.

But this year, many are wondering whether the fad of Black Friday will be a thing of the past.

A new poll found that 40 percent of shoppers started their holiday shopping weeks ago, while only 12 percent will wait until Black Friday to begin.

But given the economy, this doesn't surprise many retailers.

They say that people have become more savvy about getting deals online and at other times of the year.
