5-Year-Old Struck by Vehicle in Killeen, Airlifted to Scott & White

(KCEN) -- A five-year-old girl has been airlifted to Scott & White Children's Hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in Killeen.

One driver stopped to wave the child and a group of kids across the street at the intersection of Kimberly Lane and Pamela Drive. The driver of a tan V71 SUV tried to drive around the stopped vehicle and hit the girl. The driver who struck the girl did stop after the accident.

The girl suffered from broken bones, including two broken legs, and was airlifted to Scott & White Children's Hospital.

The children were on their way home from Sugar Loaf Elementary School.

There is no word on any charges at this time.
