(KCEN) -- Hurricane Sandy's death toll continues to climb.
Today the number of people killed in that super storm has reached 106.
About two and a half million homes and businesses along the east coast are still without power.
In New York City's darkened Lower Manhattan the power is slowly returning along with subway and ferry service.
And yesterday tankers full of gasoline moved into New York's Harbor to ease the long lines at the pump.
Meanwhile communities are coming together handing out donated food clothing and supplies to help those hit hardest start to rebuild.
