(KCEN) -- Bellmead Police have arrested a man wanted for sexual assault of a child that happened about two years ago.
Alex Alexander, of Waco, was arrested on May 24 of this year for harboring a runaway. At the time of that arrest, Alexander was already a convicted sex offender.
After that arrest, the investigation into the incident continued and it was discovered that Alexander had sexual relations with the juvenile runaway several times.
A warrant was issued for him for sexual assault of a child. Alexander was located in the 3000 block of Wheeler. He fought the officers during the arrest and received additional charges of resisting arrest.
No one was injured.
