
UPDATE (KCEN) -- Officer Roy Wood was hit by gunfire in the back of the upper arm and the bullet exited his shoulder.
The officers, both with the Lacy Lakeview Police Department, were able to take cover. The officers were joined by DPS troopers, the Waco Police Department, Waco TSTC Police Department, the Texas Rangers, McLennan County Sheriff's Department and Bellmead Police Department.
Officer Wood was treated for his injuries at Hillcrest and then released.
About 30 minutes after the shots were fired, two suspects inside the home were taken into custody. A short time later, 21-year-old Keith McAdams was arrested and charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.
The other male suspect who was inside the home with McAdams was released.

(KCEN) UPDATE: A Lacy Lakeview police officer was shot in the arm while responding to what was called in to police as a suicidal person.
Two officers responded to a home at 104 Bobcat Dr. around 5:00 p.m. after receiving a suicidal call.
After arriving at the home, police were unable to reach the person inside.
While walking back to their car, one of the officers was hit by gunfire that came from the home's direction.
The injured officer's partner was able to pull him to cover until backup arrived, and the officer was taken to Hillcrest hospital in stable condition.
Two people were taken into police custody during a search of the home.
Their identities have not yet been released.
(KCEN) -- We have a crew on the way to Lacy Lakeview where there are unconfirmed reports that an officer has been shot.
A suspect has barricaded himself in a house. Police are on the scene and are trying to disarm the suspect.
The house where the suspect is barricaded in the home is located at 104 Bobcat.
Scanner traffic indicates the officer who was shot is being taken to the hospital at this time.
