(KCEN) -- One grocery store chain is making a big commitment to our veterans.
Kroger has announced they will hire 120,000 veterans by the year 2020.
About 10,000 veterans work for Kroger throughout the country.
And by 2020, the company wants to add more veterans to its team.
For veteran Jack Chambers, post military life was a challenge.
Chambers worked odd jobs for two years until he found full-time employment with Kroger.
He said, "At first I was just bouncing around from family member to family member. Now I have my own place, my own car, my own everything and right when I got out I had nothing."
Chambers said he looks forward to working with more of his military colleagues.
