Northeast Still Recovering From Storm Damage

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- In the northeast, more than 250,000 people still remain without power this morning.

More than half of those outages are from Hurricane Sandy.

In New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and authorities on Long Island are rationing gasoline.

Drivers can get gas on either even numbered or odd numbered days based on their license plate numbers.

The gas shortage could last another couple of weeks.

Madison Square Garden will host a benefit concert for Hurricane Sandy victims on December 12, called "12-12-12".

The lineup has not been announced.
