Driver in Fatal Temple Crash Had Alcohol in System at Time of Accident

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- There is an update tonight on a T-bone crash that killed one person last month in Temple.

New lab results show the driver who ran a stop sign had over twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

The deadly accident happened on October 16 at the intersection of Airport Road and Research Parkway.

That's where 26-year-old John Carter apparently ran a stop sign and crashed into a pickup.

He later died at Scott and White hospital.

Two of the three people in that truck were seriously injured. The third was hospitalized in critical condition.

A passenger in Carter's car also suffered serious injuries.
