(KCEN) -- Nearly a thousand dollars was raised by a Fort Hood shooting survivor who ran to the state capitol on the anniversary of that fateful attack.
Chris Royal raised about $900 for the 32 Still Standing Foundation, a non profit which raises money for survivors of the Fort Hood massacre.
Royal started his run from Fort Hood and arrived at the state capitol three days and 80 miles later.
His mission was to show Americans that the wounded still need help.
