(KCEN) -- Good news for fair goers.
Big Tex will be back at the Texas State Fair once again, and this time he'll be bigger and better than ever.
State fair officials say they're rebuilding the iconic figure stronger, smarter and less flammable in the wake of the massive mannequin's fiery finish to the 2012 Fair.
He'll have a stronger steel frame and a fire suppression system.
A wiring fault is to blame for his demise last month.
It's estimated it will cost anywhere from $250,000 - $600,000 to rebuild.
