North Carolina Man Builds Veterans Memorial in Front Yard

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- One North Carolina man is adding a personal touch to saluting our vets.

Ralph Coleman designed and built life-size cut outs representing all six branches of the U.S. military.

And he proudly displays them in his front lawn.

Coleman said, "All the freedoms you got, you wouldn't have it if it weren't for them. I got a little sign out front I think says what I want to say, you know, 'America, the land of the free, because of the brave. Thank a vet.' and that's what I want to see, people on the news start saying thank you."

Coleman served as a Marine in the Korean War.
