(KCEN) -- A Houston woman is dead after she fell from the hood of her boyfriend's car while trying to stop him from driving drunk.

Saturday neighbors say they heard her screaming, begging him not to drive because he had been drinking.

Then they say the man ignored her and then took off with his girlfriend clinging to the hood.

The woman fell from the car and later died from head injuries.

The boyfriend is being held on a felony DWI charge.

He may also face a manslaughter charge.
