(KCEN) -- In Houston, jury deliberation is now underway in the murder trial for Jessica Tata.
She faces up to life in prison if found guilty.
The former home day care owner is accused of killing four children and injuring three others in February of last year.
Prosecutors say she left a pot of boiling oil on the stove while she went to the grocery store.
She left seven children home alone and came back to find smoke pouring out of the house.
The jury will also be able to consider lesser charges, such as reckless injury to a child and child abandonment, which carry lighter sentences.
