Thousands of Texans say they want out of the United States. And now 30 other states have joined similar online "petitions to secede" that could soon get a response from the White House.
To get reviewed by the Obama Administration, these petitions have to get 25,000 signatures in 30 days. Texas' petition has already topped 60-thousand.
Governor Rick Perry's office responded this morning, saying "He believes in the greatness of our union and nothing should be done to change it."
Other petitions about legalizing marijuana and freeing wikileaks leaker Bradley Manning have not been answered by the administration.
