Texas Wants More Security for Standardized Testing

(KCEN) -- Texas is wanting to up security on standardized tests.

The Texas Education Agency wants a million dollars from the state legislature to prevent cheating on state exams.

The agency would create a special investigations unit that reviews serious testing irregularities on the STAAR test.

More than 40 teachers and administrators in Texas have been sanctioned for testing violations over the past five years.
