(KCEN) -- Toyota is recalling nearly 2.8 million cars worldwide due to problems with the steering mechanism.
In addition, the company is also recalling several Prius models due to a problem with the car's hybrid water pump system.
Among the vehicles recalled are 670,000 in the U.S. The rest are in Japan and Europe.
A spokesman said the recalled Prius cars were of the model's second generation.
This is Toyota's second multi-million car recall in the past months.
