(KCEN) -- The Texas judge who was seen in a video beating his daughter returned to court today.

Last November, Judge William Adams was suspended after a 2004 video of him beating his daughter leaked on the Internet.

The Texas Supreme Court lifted the suspension and he presided over the Aransas County court-at-law docket on today.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services says Adams will not receive cases involving violence with children.
