(KCEN) -- One man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed in Killeen last night.
Twenty-nine-year-old Brandon Lynnard Martin was riding his Yamaha motorcycle southbound in the 5300 block of Bridle Drive just before 10 p.m. when the accident happened. It appears he lost control of the vehicle, separated from the bike, rolled on the street and struck a 2001 Ford Focus parked on the roadway.
The motorcycle slid for several feet before hitting a flat bed trailer that was parked on Bridle.
Martin was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Officers responded and found Martin injured and transported him to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition. He passed away from his injuries at 10:44 p.m. and an autopsy was ordered.
The Killeen Police Department's Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the crash.
