(KCEN) -- In Temple a car drove through a house putting one man in the hospital this afternoon.
Temple Fire Department responded to a call around 4:00 this afternoon at the 600 block of Draper Drive.
The car barreled the back yard hitting a water heater and propane tank.
The impact caused the airbags to deploy and left a 5 foot hole in the back of the house.
The owner of the home Lance Simpson says, "I would have rather been where I was and got a phone call about it than been in the living room and heard it. So what can you do?"
Temple Firefighter Thomas Pechal, "I don't know if their was any way you could predict or protect this is just one of those very rare situations."
The driver was taken to Scott and White with non-life threatening injuries.
No one was injured in the accident.
Temple police is investigating the cause of the crash.
