(KCEN) -- A judge has granted a delay in the civil trial of Casey Anthony.
Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Casey Anthony for defamation.
Gonzalez claims Anthony ruined her reputation in 2008 by telling investigators a babysitter with the same name kidnapped her daughter.
Her lawyers sought a delay in that case until Anthony's current appeal of lying to law enforcement officials is resolved.
They didn't want her to be able to use the use fifth amendment to avoid answering questions.
The defamation case has been postponed to next summer or fall.
Anthony was acquitted last year of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, but was found guilty of lying to police officers.
