(KCEN) -- Gas prices have dropped an average of more than seven cents nationwide over the past two weeks.
The new national average for regular gasoline is $3.47.
That's down more than 36 cents over the past six weeks.
Here in Texas a gallon of regular will run you about $3.14 a gallon.
Prices remain high in much of New York and New Jersey because of Hurricane Sandy.
The highest average price in Long Island stands at $4.18 a gallon
