Man Found Guilty for Copperas Cove Murder, Sentenced to Life in - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- A man who was charged with murder in July in Copperas Cove has now been convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Nineteen-year-old Cody Parlato was found guilty of killing 46-year-old Darien Brodeur at the Five Hills Apartments on East Highway 190. 

Witnesses said Parlato and Brodeur got into a fight and during the fight, Parlato slashed Brodeur's throat and ran from the apartment.

Parlato was arrested and held on a one-million-dollar bond.

Today, a jury found him guilty of the murder and sentenced him to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
