Amber Alert Issued for Southeast Texas Girl

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- An amber alert has been issued in southeast Texas for an 11-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her mother.

Savannah Hurley is described as four-feet-ten-inches and 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes and also has a small gap between her front teeth and pierced ears.

Hurley was last seen in Trinity County with her mother, Shelly Hurley.

Her mother drives a maroon, 1996 Subaru Legacy station wagon with Alabama license plate number 48738AZ. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a multi-colored shirt and a brown belt. She is about five-feet-four-inches, about 110 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She is 46-years-old.

Police say Shelly tried to run over a CPS worker who was trying to remove Savannah from her custody, then drove away with the girl.

It's possible the pair may be in Garland, Texas.
