(KCEN) -- A new study shows kids who regularly attend daycare are more likely to be overweight than those who stay at home with mom and dad.
It found that kids between the ages of one and four who stayed with an extended family member or in daycare were more likely to become obese by the age of 10.
That's compared to children who are cared for at home.
Researchers have not figured out why this is.
They said diet and exercise need to be closely watched if you have a child in daycare.
The study was published in this month's Journal of Pediatrics.
