Several Accidents Reported on I-35 as Travelers Hit the Road for Thanksgiving

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Two more accidents have been reported on I-35 by the Texas Department of Transportation as holiday travelers hit the roads.

An accident involving two vehicles near mile marker 296 just south of Midway in Temple has traffic backed up for about two miles.

The cars involved are pulled off to the shoulder but no ambulance is on the scene. There are no details on the cause of the crash or any injuries. There is also no estimate on how long it will take to clear the scene.

A second crash has happened near Big Elm Road just north of Troy. Four vehicles are involved in that crash and there appears to be only minimal damage to the vehicles. The damaged cars are pulled to the center barrier, but the outside lane of the highway is still open.

Traffic in that area is slowed for about three miles.
