(KCEN)- Temple's hungry and homeless had plenty to be thankful for during the 11th annual Health And Hope For The Holidays event.
The organization provided all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings to families in need but what made the event different, is what they provide on the side.
The groups organizer TerryLynn Schrimscher said, "We have Santa Pal applications, we have the Texas Workforce Center where they can get information about finding jobs as well as Scott&White Health Care Plan that is doing free flu shots to keep them from getting sick."
Nearly 500 people attended Wednesday's event.
