
Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
women's golf team climbed one spot to #4 in the country in this week's
Golf World/WGCA Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The UMHB women
totaled 358 points in this week's poll to move
up from fifth in the last ranking. Methodist University retains the top
spot this week with 17 first-place votes and 425 total points. The Cru
is one of three American Southwest Conference teams mentioned in the
latest poll. U.T.-Tyler is ranked 20th
with 113 total points and Hardin-Simmons is receiving votes worth a
total of 20 points. This is the final Golf World/WGCA Coaches Top 25 of
the fall.
The Cru women closed out the fall schedule with a
39-stroke victory at the Alamo City Classic in a tournament that saw
UMHB set a new school 36-hole low scoring record. The Cru also finished
second at the Golfweek Division III Fall Preview,
just six shots off the winning pace set by Methodist.
