Armed Man Robs Killeen Bank

(KCEN) -- Police are on the scene of a bank robbery that happened this just before 11 this morning in Killeen.

The bank that was reportedly robbed was the Heart o'' Texas Federal Credit Union. It is located in the 1600 block of South Fort Hood Street.

The suspect was armed when he entered the bank and demanded money. He was able to receive an undisclosed amount of money and fled east from the bank toward the Hillcrest Apartments.

Killeen police released a picture of the suspect and described him as a white male, about six-feet-three-inches tall and weighing about 240 pounds. He was wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans and a tan cap. The suspect was armed with a small caliber handgun.

The robbery is under investigation.
