Humane Society in Waco Will Soon by Run by City of Waco

(KCEN) -- The Humane Society of Central Texas in Waco will soon be run by the city of Waco.

Tonight the shelter is expected to approve a contract handing the facility over to the city.

That means starting Friday, it will become an animal control facility for the city of Waco.

Several humane society employees will remain on staff as the city works with other groups to find homes for the remaining animals.
