Four Texans Win Million Dollar Payout from Powerball

Posted: Updated:

(KXAS) -- The largest Powerball jackpot ever, an estimated $587.5 million haul, will be split between the holders of two tickets purchased in Arizona and Missouri.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday were 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and the Powerball was 6. The grand prize winners correctly selected all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing and will split the jackpot.

Four tickets sold in Texas belong to people who chose five out of the six numbers - good for a $1 million payout.

Those tickets were sold at convenience stores in Houston, San Antonio, Humble (a Houston suburb) and Dallas.

The $1 million Dallas ticket was purchased at the 7-11 in the 5100-block of West Lover's Lane, near Inwood.

According to the Texas Lottery Commission, the winner has 180 days to step forward to claim their prize.  Because the payout is so high, they will have to travel to Lottery headquarters in Austin to collect the winnings.

So far, no one has officially come forward to claim the winning tickets.
