(KCEN) -- A charter bus carrying a church group slammed into a concrete overpass today at Miami International Airport killing two elderly people and leaving three others critically injured.
A group of Jehovah's Witnesses were headed to the religious convention in West Palm Beach.
Investigators say the 47-year-old driver made a wrong turn somehow and ending up in the arrivals terminal at the airport.
The front of the bus was crushed.
First responder Osvaldo Lopez says,"There were a couple of people on the floor that had flown out of their seats. And there were a couple of people sitting, still in their seats that had been wedged in by the roof of the bus."
The owners of the bus company say this is the first accident the company has had in 14 years.
The driver has worked with them for a short time.
At this point it's too early to tell if any charges will be filed.
