Many Gather Around the World In Honor of World Aids Day

(KCEN) -- People around the world commemorated World Aids Day this evening.

A candlelight vigil was held by a local organization that specializes in health care for D.C.'s gay community. 

Washington has one of the highest infection rates in the country.  

A mobile testing unit provided free confidential testing.  

The world health organization estimates there are 34 million people worldwide living with HIV.
