(KCEN) -- Kansas City Chiefs fans returned to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time, following yesterday's shocking murder-suicide involving one of the team's linebackers.
Fans gathered ahead of the game to tailgate.
Police say 25-year-old linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed 22-year-old Kasandra Perkins the mother of his three-month-old child.
Belcher then showed up at the team's practice facility where he shot and killed himself.
Fans say it's a tragedy.
Chiefs fan Terry Walker says, "I just think it shows that it doesn't matter if you're a pro athlete or whether you're just an everyday working man, the pressures of life can get to you sometimes and sometimes people just don't handle it. And make bad decisions, and I think that's unfortunately what happened here."
For now, it's unclear what led to up to the deadly events.
