UPDATE (KCEN) -- The person who was killed in a hit and run accident on Highway 195 in Killeen this weekend has been identified as Richard J. Taylor of Killeen.

(KCEN) -- Killeen Police are investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred early this morning.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian hit on the 1000 Block of S State Highway 195 around 1:00 A.M.
When officers arrived at the scene they found the body of a black male lying in the inside lane of the northbound traffic.
The man had been attempting to cross Highway 195 with another man when he was struck by a white pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup immediately fled the scene.
Moments later another vehicle traveling on the same road ran over the man who had just been struck by the previous vehicle.
That second driver remained at the scene however and was identified by officers.
The 46-year-old victim, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at 1:58 A.M.
