
MCC opened the game on a 6-0 run. Eastfield responded with an 11-0 run
in the next four minutes to take the 11-6 lead. The Harvesters extended
the lead to 10 but the Highlanders fought back, taking the 28-27 lead
into the break.
The two teams traded baskets until the midway
point of the second half when MCC began to pull away. The Highlanders
built a 10-point lead with 3:28 to go in the game. Eastfield cut the
lead to five multiple times down the stretch but was unable to pull any
closer.
Devonse Reed led MCC with 13 points and Tevin Hanner scored 12.
The Highlanders will return to the court on Jan. 3, hosting Richland at 7 p.m.
