(KCEN) -- Re-gifting is as much a part of the holidays as eggnog and mistletoe.

We may not admit to it, but many people re-gift, and it isn't going away anytime soon.

According to couponcabin.com's annual re-gifting survey, nearly four in ten American adults, or 39 percent, have re-gifted an item.

This year's results are in line with the 41 percent of people who said the same last year.
