(KCEN) -- Prisoners at a correctional facility in North Carolina are making disturbing allegations against prison guards there.
And the allegations are pretty graphic.
Six inmates at the Sampson Correctional Institution say two officers there forced them to rub hot sauce on their genitals.
They also say they were made to strip and perform fake sex acts on each other.
And they allege that they were instructed to throw live rabbits into moving traffic while on roadside duty.
Amy Rich, who lives near the facility, said, "It really makes me angry because, like I said before, I have seen people misuse their authority and if it's true, and they've done this to these inmates, then they need to be fired."
A spokeswoman for the State Department of Public Safety says she can't explain or discuss the allegations but says the State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the case.
