(KCEN) -- A child who has spent her whole life in a Fort Worth hospital finally took her first steps outside.
Adalynn Willett is two-years-old.
She was born with her intestines and liver literally outside her body and has had 28 surgeries.
That's an average of one a month for every month she's been alive.
Her heart has stopped twice and she's somehow fought off countless deadly complications.
Finally, after 850 days in the hospital, she was well enough for her parents to take her home to Abilene.
Ahead of her farewell, Willett and other kids at the hospital got a special visit last week.
Several Rockettes stopped by to show off their kicks and hang out with the kids.
