Houston Area Student Brings Gun to School, Shoot Self in Back of - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- There was a scary scene at the campus of North Shore High School near Houston this morning.

Police arrested a male student for bringing a gun to school.

He was handcuffed and put in the back of a patrol car.

Apparently, the student had another gun, though and he managed to shoot himself in the back of the head, according to police.

Authorities say the student was searched before he was cuffed and put in the car.

School district officials told affiliate KHOU the student was conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

No one else was hurt in the incident.
