The holidays are a time of giving, and Central Texas food banks need your help more than ever this season.
Bell County churches and non profits are teaming up to help provide Christmas necessities to thousands of needy families.
Churches Touching Lives for Christ doesn't receive any government assistance.
Meaning everything that the non-profit gives out, come from the community.
And with a 30-percent increase, just this year, they said it's critical for people to step up and help out one another.
This holiday season thousands of families are relying on your donations to bring Christmas cheer to their homes.
With your help CTLC will hand out complete holiday meals with everything from the turkey to all the fixings.
Each house hold will be given bags fill with food to feed the whole family.
But that's not all, the group is also asking for new and slightly used toys for children ages two to 13.
All to help make sure that no child goes without this year.
"Really Christmas is all about is giving, it's not so much the receiving as much as if we have it to give it and share it with our neighbors to help them out and to see the blessing that you receive from that," said CTLC Director Jim Hornsby.
