Funeral Held for Girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker

(KCEN) -- Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Kassandra Perkins.

The 22-year-old was fatally shot Saturday morning by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker Jovan Belcher.

He later committed suicide.

Perkins' mother lives in Fort Worth.

One service was held there, then another will take place in Austin were her father lives.

She will be buried in the Austin area.

Perkins graduated from Anderson High School in Austin in 2009.

A memorial service for Belcher was held Wednesday near Arrowhead Stadium.

Perkins and Belcher had a 3-month-old daughter.
